BUILD DAY November 2009
Our Families Say:
A year and a half ago I thought all was lost and my kids were going to be growing up in the 2 bedroom trailer we lived in. The trailer was falling apart and it felt like our lives were falling apart. We were stressed and depressed. When we were told about Midcoast Habitat for Humanity and what they did for families like us, I was reluctant. In my state of mind, I was thinking this is my life and it's not going to change. But even though I thought it was useless, I put in an application. I went through the process still thinking there's no way I'm getting this house -- I'm dreaming way too big. But on June 5, 2007, my biggest wish came true. Habitat told us we were chosen to have a house built. That date is burnt in my memory because it changed my life and saved my family. Since moving into our house I've seen my family smile more, laugh more, and love more. It's just been amazing. So thank you Habitat for Humanity, for giving us a new life and a new home." -- Chandra Moholland, House #19
