Current Project

House 28 – A rehab is in the works.

IMG_3982

36 Brewster Street is Midcoast Habitat’s latest project. A rehab acquired last winter is undergoing renovation. The house has sat empty, a work in progress, for the past several years. The property was acquired along with the two adjacent lots, now named “The Brewster Street Project.” Many volunteer groups, including West Bay Rotary, Trekkers, Lonza and the Second Congregational Church of Warren, have joined us this Fall bringing great energy to this project. Volunteers at our construction sites help with all aspects of home building and experiencing the joy created when a family realizes the dream of home ownership. No experience is necessary – there are many tasks that require only a willingness to learn and work with others – but if you have it, great!

Stay tuned for news about the exciting Summer build on the adjacent lots!

The Family Selection Committee is currently reviewing applications for partner families. If you are or know of a large family in need of a safe, healthy, affordable home, please contact Midcoast Habitat 236-6123, tia@midcoasthabitat.org or complete our online application.
