Current Project
At Midcoast Habitat for Humanity, as we see the skeleton, then the exterior and roof, and then the detailed interior of our next house grow up from what was just a hole in the ground a few weeks earlier. We're excited about our role in helping a deserving family that needs, and is willing to work for, a "decent but affordable home."
Our 21st house is complete! Our newest partner family moved in to their new home in February. As usual, we will hold a dedication ceremony for all volunteers, friends and family in August.
We are proud of our record of providing at least one house per year to a qualifying family that has a clear need for a better housing situation and could not otherwise obtain a mortgage to buy their own home.
